Michael Oshry
Co-President
Globex Foreign Exchange co-founder, Michael Oshry, prides himself on being able to help build his local business community. Since attending the University of Alberta, he has enjoyed success in a variety of private enterprises. With his vast business dealings guiding him through the complicated world of international finance Michael together with his brother Clive identified a weakness in the Foreign Exchange market place. Globex Foreign Exchange was established soon after.
 
Michael was a key force in driving Globex’s expansion across international borders and his commitment to providing great customer service and low rates keeps Globex at the forefront of the industry. As the technological specialist in the business, Michael designed and implemented the electronic trading platform that is central to Globex’s current trading operation. He ensures that Globex technology is on the cutting edge in the marketplace. As well, Michael co-founded the Globex Foreign Exchange Charitable Foundation, the mandate of which is to raise funds for a variety of children’s causes. Michael is also active a variety of businesses and charitable organizations. Michael’s insistence on excellence helped Globex Foreign Exchange win the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year award in 2007.

 
  
  
Clive Oshry

While attending the University of Alberta Clive Oshry founded his first private enterprise and has had the achievement of establishing a variety of successful private enterprises. With his experience in the financial markets and strong relationships within the business and banking community Clive was able to establish key trading relationships and startup financing as a co founder of Globex Foreign Exchange.
  
Clive currently oversees Globex’s existing network of domestic and international banks and ensures that the company is in a strong position to offer superior rates and service by closely following evolving international banking practices, trading markets, and online trading technology. His entrepreneurial spirit is demonstrated through his constant exploration and execution of new Market opportunities for Globex, with his current focus on strategic partnerships.
  
Clive also oversees the Globex human resources department, hiring intelligent and enthusiastic team players and creating a positive, team-oriented work environment for all staff, resulting in Globex Foreign Exchange becoming a finalist in Deloitte & Touche's 50 Best Managed Companies. Sharing success and giving back to the community is something that Clive feels strongly about he was a co founder of the Globex Foreign Exchange Charitable Foundation and is involved personally with a variety of charitable organizations. With long term vision Clive has used his talents for management and his strong business development skills to bring about Globex’s aggressive yet sustainable growth.

Alex Eadie, CMA
Executive Vice President
Alex Eadie is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) that brings twelve years of executive experience to the Globex team. Most recently, Alex led the rapid growth of a leading edge software integration firm as Chief Accountant and General Manager.
  
To enhance Globex’s competitive edge, Alex brings his professional yet creative blend of promoting sound business fundamentals with leading edge management techniques. As the Executive Vice President of Globex, Alex’s financial acumen, strategic insight and collaborative approach to implementing a variety of initiatives will be instrumental in Globex maintaining it’s international growth.

 
Terry Thompson, CMA
Vice President, Finance
Terry Thompson brings more than twenty years of diverse financial expertise to the Globex management team. He is a Certified Management Account (CMA) with an Economics degree from the University of Western Ontario. Before coming to Globex, Terry most recently worked as the controller of wireline markets for a national telecommunications company. Prior to that that he worked as a controller at an engineering firm and, he was the Chief Accountant for a large construction company. During his time in telecom, he traveled in Europe with a core group to build a new company from the ground up.
  
His contributions helped the venture progress from acquiring its initial operating license to managing over a million subscribers in less than a year. As head of Globex’s finance department, Terry is responsible for leading Globex’s financial audits, preparing financial statements, and budgeting and forecasting for future growth opportunities. Terry’s proficiency in accounting and financial management, coupled with his experience in business development, is critical to Globex’s continued success.

 
Nigel Hobson
Vice President of Sales Development

Nigel Hobson joins the Globex team with over 15 years of direct and channel sales experience as a reseller, distributor and vendor of high-level technology and financial solutions. Nigel originally studied and worked as a building surveyor in the UK before growing his career into design technology and consultancy sales. He founded and ran his own business enterprise prior to being recruited by the world’s market leader in design technology. Nigel is driven by team development achieved through strategy formulation and analysis.

  
Recognition of Nigel’s leadership skills led to his recruitment to a major foreign exchange company. In his role as the Head of Sales for their corporate division, Nigel was recognized for his innovative thinking, leadership abilities and motivation to achieve results by implementing a comprehensive high performance sales and leadership program.
  
As Vice President of Sales Development, Nigel leads Globex’s customer facing team to deliver outstanding service and value through individualized client relationships by implementing leading edge business solutions.

 
Brad Clark, BCom, BSc 
Vice President, Operations

Brad Clark comes to Globex Foreign Exchange with over 8 years of Operations Management experience. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Brad’s communication and leadership skills, along with his ability to work well under pressure, have contributed in large part to his success.

Prior to his position with Globex, Brad was the General Manager of Western Canada’s largest commercial print manufacturer, a division of one of the largest international print media corporations. While there, Brad was identified as one of the top 75 high potential employees from across North America and received training and career development in a Leadership, Excellence and Development Program.

As Vice President of Operations, Brad co-ordinates and grows a diverse team of professionals, including human resources, information technology services, communications and operations personnel. Brad brings the dedication and perseverance required to strategically grow the business infrastructure and support the critical operations component for the continued success of Globex Foreign Exchange.
