Bank Exchange Rates
No one can buy currency at the published interbank rate. Banks typically add a substantial mark up on this.
Minimum Transaction Volume
Globex accepts a minimum transaction amount of $10,000 and can trade up to $5,000,000.
Transaction Fees
There are no fees for transactions, with the exception of wire transfers which we offer at a nominal charge.
Money Market Fluctuations
Talk to your local Trader. They are in business to save you money and will contact you when the market moves in your favor.
Currency Fluctuations
Your personal Trader at Globex will notify you on market movement and product information, like Forward Contracts, which can protect you from market volatility.
Booking a Rate
We fix the exchange rate at the time of booking and will hold this rate for you, to allow for settlement, regardless of what movement takes place within the market.
Choose Your Own Rate
You can tell your Trader the rate that you would like to book a trade at and you will be contacted when it fills.
Forward Contracts & Futures
Globex is an industry leader in Forward Contracts. There is no premium for this service over standard Spot transactions.
Foreign Currency Payables
Send us a list of the payees and the amounts payable to each, and we will handle it for you. Buy in bulk and save money.
Foreign Currency Receivables
Globex can receive your foreign currency Wire Transfers for you at no charge. This will allow you to control when, and at what rate, you switch the currency to Canadian dollars. If you hold a foreign currency account, just let us know when you receive the funds and we will transfer them into Canadian dollars for you.
Draft & Wire Confirmation Delivery
Globex delivers Drafts and Wire confirmations at no charge with our same day service.
Deposits
Globex in-house couriers can make your deposits for you within Canada or, if you prefer, Globex can electronically transfer funds into your account.
All Globex drafts are routed through the country the currency originated in, thus drafts will clear easily.
We use the same international wire service as all major financial institutions at a fraction of the cost. The payments are completely reliable and traceable.
